Gray Monochromatic Winter

Oh I love thee Winter…let me count the ways. Actually, I’m not a fan of my eyes tears up and nose running in -10 degree windchill weather BUT I am a fan of winter fashion LOL I visited my beloved Chicago this past weekend and spent time reveling in the city where I spent five glorious winters. Thoughts of pushing my daughter through blizzard conditions in Hyde Park ran through my mind as I battled ‘The Hawk’ walking on Magnificent Mile.

Gosh, I forgot how cold Chicago can be in January, but I also forgot how much I LOVE layering in up in style. To tackle the cold on my first day in the city, I paired a sweater (turtleneck underneath) from Express with heat tech leggings and overcoat from Primark. The Sam Edelman boots are a gift from the Shoe Warehouse sale I attended last week and are a leather dupe pf a pair that I already own from H&M.
