Spring 2016 Pantones: Serenity and Rose Quartz

Every year, the great folks at the Pantone Color Institute come together to release the color of the. How it's all decide you can read about here, but for now, I wanna get into some makeup! Serenity and Rose Quartz are the 2 colors chosen for the year and they could not be more angelic. The institute states that, "As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent". Ain't that the truth. Stepping away from darker hue of last year's Marsala, the pale blue and pink hues are a breath of fresh air.
