Dionne's Favorite Lipsticks
Not that I don't get compliments on other aspects of my look, but whenever I'm out, I tend to get the most attention on what's on my lips. That being said, I wanted to share with you a few of my fave lippies for the season. Now, let me preface this by saying that I am a London/Florida girl, so I"m gonna give you some color. But all of these lines have a plethora of shades, so you'll definitely find a hue for you. Oh...and lemme add that I ain't getting paid for this post and haven't received any of these free in the mail. These are my own personal faves, bought straight cash homey! ;-)
Tom Ford Beauty Matte Lipstick- Do I buy items from the Tom Ford Beauty line because it's Tom Ford? Abso-friggin-lutely. When it comes to the man that I have ogled since my days as a fashion merchandising student at THE Florida State University (#GoNoles), I am a complete label whore. It doesn't make me feel that bad, however, because I actually really do love the line. Now because of the $50 price tag, I'm not buying 3 or 4 lipsticks at a time. But one every month or so is pretty reasonable. I have 2 so far and only have 2 more on my list...that's until he releases his Spring colors...oy ve.
Bite Cosmetics- I first heard about the Bite cosmetic line via my Miami #WCW Wordy Girl Maria Tettamanti. However, It wasn't until I was looking for a vibrant purple shade that I decided to give the line a shot. I wasn't used to the pencil at first and usually opt for the traditional lipstick, but I am really happy with the pigment of the lip pencil. The 'Violet' is my fave and probably the color that I get the most compliments on, but 'Pomegranate' is a close 2nd.
Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tar- How do I love OCC, let me count the ways. I tried the 'Matte Lip Tar' in Nylon as a runner up to my Nars Schiap and was plesantly surprised. However, it wasn't until I saw a full out review my another another one of my Miami chica lindas Sahily from Pretty in Pigment that I decided to take the lip tar plunge. Both liners and the lip tars feel so good on the lip and the pigments are amazing. The fact that they are 100% vegan and cruelty free make me love the line even more. Sephora actually has a sale on the minis, so I sent my boo a link to the page to add to my Christmas list LOL
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick For as many times as I have gone to Sephora, I never tried the Kat Von D line. But when I saw one of the Sephora makeup artists walking around with the most vibrant pinky-purple matte lip, I had to had to know what it was. I purchased the color 'Rich Violet' and have been wearing it religiously for like 3 weeks. I've screamed it's praises from the mountaintop and already have 2 other colors I want to try. It is super duper matte, doesn't bleed and keeps its color through many cups of coffee. Needless to say, I'm a fan
